Biography:

Nobuhiko Hosono, Associate Professor

Nobuhiko Hosono was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1983. He received his PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 2011. From 2011 to 2014, he worked in the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems, Eindhoven Univeresity of Technology as a postdoctoral researcher. From 2014 to 2018, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS),  Kyoto University. In 2018, he was appointed to Lecturer of Graduate School of Frontier Science, The University of Tokyo. In 2021, he was promoted to Associate Professor of Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.

He specializes in materials science with a focus on polymer chemistry, physics, and self-assembly, and is currently working on the development of polymer recognition technologies using highly-designed porous media, such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
